What is ABA
Applied Behavior Analysis is the Science in which tactics derived from the principles of behavior are applied systematically to improve social significant behavior and experimentation is used to identify the variables responsible for behavior change (Cooper, Heron, Heward).
ABA looks at the antecedent (what occurs immediately prior to the behavior), the behavior and the consequence (response to behavior ), in order to increase wanted behaviors and decrease or replace undesired behaviors. The programs provided are designed and focused on positive reinforcement and pro-active procedures or antecedent based interventions.
